After a big week and a productive Scott Hazelton Basketball School that saw many high level basketball players and six major division 1 head coaches from the Big East,, ACC, and PAC 10 visit the Rockingham Athletic Club in Plaistow, NH,  the Rivals will continue a hectic but important and fun July that includes the 16u and 17u teams participating in the First Eight event at Springfield College this Friday (see www.basketbull.org).  This invite only tournament features eight of the best 16u and 17u teams on the East Coast.   The Mass Rivals 17u and 16u will be joined by the Rivals 14u team on Saturday and Sunday to play in the Hall of Fame National Invitational tournament at Springfield College.  The 16u and 17u teams will then move to Quinnipiac College in Connecticut to play in the New England Recruiting Reports Super 16 Showcase (see www.newenglandrecruitingreport.com).  The Rivals teams will come home for a week before the 14u, 15u, 16u, and 17u teams head to Las Vegas to participate in the Adidas Super 64 event.  The 17u and 16u teams will continue to Los Angeles to play in the Pump Brothers Best of Summer Tournament at Loyola Marymount University

The first three days of the live period was a successful one for Ryan Canty and his performance at the Scott Hazelton Basketball School resulted in a call from University of New Hampshire Head Coach Bill Herrion who offered the 6'9" forward and rising junior a division 1 scholarship.
